ANOTHER GAY IN THE PULPIT

I Arrive to church early to get the best seat in the church. I've heard
that the choir is singing my song on this Sunday. Mother Lantin sits next to me and states, "how you been sister?". I joyfully state, "blessed and highly favored Mother". I feel even more comfortable since I know that Mother Lantin is a praiser. "Now ladies and gentlemen the choir"! As I sit expecting a move of God; the new choir director appears from the side door like a flame swaying side to side on a skillet. He's shaking here and dropping it there. By the time the song was finished I was left asking myself; what just happened?. It's know doubt they sung my favorite song but... What da hell!!!, Mother Lantin shouted. I abruptly motioned to calm her down. She then whispered in my ear; "Sister the choir has sugar problems". I left church that Sunday dazzled and confused. I mean; I've seen and experience gays before singing in the church. Why did it now take me out of the spirit? Why did it change the perception of my favorite song? Why was I in such a disgusted mood afterward? Why, Why, and Why?

Although, this story is a fictional story; many can relate to the topic of Gays in the church and the questions that are left. Many suppress those feelings behind the fact; yet another year. Out of all the sins; many have taken this one to a whole new level. Again Why?, why, and why. We have come to compromise with the notion of gays in our family, work and now even church. We secretly object to there way of life for fear of isolation or being called a trouble maker. Those that choose to stand up; usually speak up out of hate or other selfish reason that often contradict all that God stands for. You've heard the preacher state, "God didn't invent Adam and Steve but Adam and Eve". Where is the Love and Kindness in that statement that God has instructed us to show to everyone. A delicate situation that many are all to often to shy away from. The Bible says " In all thy ways get understanding". So in researching this matter; I came to a couple of known factors.

WHAT IS HOMOSEXUAL AND WHERE DID IT COME FROM

Homosexuality is the action of having relations with a member of the same sex. Homosexuality has been common since the times of Sodom and Gamora. This practice became manifested within this story of same sex relations, but that story also has been misinterpreted for years as well. Many ministers have stated in reference to the story of Sodom and Gamora being just about same sex relations; but this story was about much more than just that. One factor is; It was not just same sex but many sexual impurities discovered within this passage of scripture. Such as; people sleeping with animals, sleeping with family, etc. The Bible puts just as much emphasis on homosexuality as it does any other sin. We find today; statements coming across the pulpit like Fag, Gay, and Queen, all of which is not even stated in the Bible. Neither is Homo; but reference to the action is made very clear, IT IS A SIN taken to a whole new level. The main factor that the Bible speaks against the act because those who practiced the act used Homosexuality as there God is diminished in today's podiums. For example, In the story of Sodom; the characters didn't have Christ at the top of their priority list but SEX. In fact; anything that we do that's more than the will of Christ is WRONG. (EXodus 20:3)

I was asked recently by a young male trying to get closer to Christ; why is it so many gays in the church? I responded that gays have always been in the church. Just as alcoholics, prostitutes, and spousal abusers. In fact until recently; you couldn't categorize gay, church and pastor in the same context but now lol. You have certain claims like with Bishop Long allegation, the local choir director and so on. The topic used to be so vague that you could only assume and never would give it a second thought because there was know action surrounding the thought of such impurity. Now, with Gay Weddings and this pastor coming out and that deacon being caught with that brother; it's all to clear there's no more assumption. Spiritually speaking; this is one scenario that Satan uses against God's people in so many ways. Satan looks at this as a tool used to cause conflict, defame the identity of people, and other tricks used to bring people out of the realm of God. Many have fault about weather or not you can be born gay. YES, that's a no brain er. If the Bible says that we were born into sin; why is that so far fetched in the minds of people. All isn't born gay though; some have been molested, abused mentally shattering their self-esteem, or grew up in a single parent home. Anyone of these characteristics MAY produce a homosexual or at the minimum homosexual traits. Like with all sins; Christ has paved the way for us to come out of any sinful situation. Yeah, you were born gay but you can come out of it if you want to.

Yes, you feel like a women but God made you a man and you have purpose. This same purpose is the means or the basis to why Homosexuality must be a sin. Everything God makes has purpose. Water keeps us and other elements alive, Marriage Christ ordained between man and women to be fruitful and multiply. Symbolizing the covenant Christ has with all of us. Now taking that purpose into account; what purpose does Homosexuality hold? Many state that Homosexuals are not just about sex. This is true in some cases; but what purpose did Christ leave for us that are not under the category of Bible speaking marriage? God's purpose was for us generally to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. (Mark 12:31, Matt. 22:37) To be kind to one another but not sleep with them LOL Even if a person does not practice Homosexuality; they're still wrong because recreational sex is Adultery. So this isn't a gay issue; but a purpose issue.

What is Homosexuality? Being sexually intimate; open or in the mind, with a member of the same sex through adulterous acts.

WHY HAVE THE GAY ISSUE BECOME SO PROBLEMATIC IN THE CHURCH

For one, you have GAY CHURCHES now that state that " God is Love and we all should live in harmony". TRUE but the extra that is also allocated in a particular church; like standing for the FIRST MAN, as like unto the first lady, is crazy and not scriptural. This states right out; "The Pastor is Gay and he wants his lover honored". In the words of MADEA " Hell to da NALL" lol Its one thing dealing with the sin but another stating and living life like its right. I've heard stories of falsifying the Bible to fit the lifestyle and this poses problems. I often tell those that are dealing with the lifestyle to pray and be still and hear the word of God. This is what God instruct us to do. Not to pray and still indulge in the very same thing that we are praying about. Sometimes you have to surround yourself with God and Godly people to accomplish this but it can be done. The Bible speaks about the blind leading the blind. How can one find deliverance in a specific sin if they commune with those that find know fault in the sin? Some churches COMPROMISE and never minister to the individual on the specific sin they're dealing with. Others wait to speak only if your man or woman has been taken away from you and you speak out of hate. I'm sure if these Pastors would actually sit down with there members, like a good Shepard would; and see what problems they are dealing with; they would find that most Gays are searching for deliverance. Most just don't know how to go about getting it. Because the neglect and ignorance of some pastors; homosexuals are told to seek God, get the holy ghost or other GENERAL solutions; instead of specifics. This often leads the gays to keep doing what they're doing cause they keep on getting the same vague responses to a solution. Tyler Perry once stated that "if you get to the root of a problem you can conquer any addiction". Pastors and ministers talk to your people. Get to the root of the problem. If you cant; ask God to send you someone to handle the issue. If Christ chose you to lead that flock; all people are included. Gays should be discreet. Yeah hide it till deliverance come! Reason being is if you doing a work for Christ in the church nothing should be in-front of that fact. Don't let your good deeds be evil spoken of. (Rom 14: 16) If you're running that mouth about who you slept with; or other flamboyant charades, you risk just that. Plus, its tacky. I don't want to hear about same sex; just as I don't want to imagine my pastor sleeping with his wife. EWW NASTY LOL

WHY DO MS. THANG COME TO CHURCH

Gays have purpose just like your sinful behind
have purpose and if God can speak through a Jack Ass he can certainly speak through a Gay. In fact; what better way to fight against the pending problem? If the gays that come to church serve God more than the lifestyle and see other gays do the same; they have a far better chance at seeing the light more so than having preachers bash them with hateful gestures such as Adam and Steve and run from the church lol. The Bible speaks of Christ drawing us with Love and Kindness.(Jeremiah 31:3) Then goes on to speak of letting the wheat and tare grow together and he'll do the separating. (Matthew 13:30) In other words; let the gays, alcoholics, etc. come; preach the word and show love and kindness. Utilizing these tools from God; gives a general strategy on how to deal with anyone in the church.

I've found; where there's a great music ministry and talented singers, you have a gay over it lol. Yeah its a stereotype but truthful. Many thought and still think this to be valid and correct. I'm often mistaken for gay by straight and gay alike. The fact that I'm a gifted musician fits an age old stereotype, that if you play piano in the black church you gay or at-least "mess around"; but that is far from the truth. AINT NO WAY LOL I love my wife entirely too much. A seriously funny situation though.

The churches are cracking up over this point. Do you let them direct the choir and draw in souls to Christ or sit them down because they cant stop switching and do without the souls lol? Do you continue to let them in general do there thing or not? I mean most gays that I know do a great service to there particular church. In fact, the only way I would sit down a person in that lifestyle is if they clearly choose to live in sin. In other words; If they start wearing a dress or hold hands in a THATS MY BOO kind of way in the church. I expect all of my church leaders to abide by the protocol of the church and follow the word of God to the best of there ability. I often tell my pastor friends that have dilemmas with the whole gay in the church issue to just follow what the Bible says to do about the matter. The Bible says that you can tell by the fruit that one bares whether or not they are good seeds. Lets not automatically assume they're bad because you heard or assume from gestures, etc. Remember, someones assuming about you just as you assume about them hmmm.
If the people of the church be about the Father's business, we wouldn't have time to bash each other. We would spend more time lifting each other up. Doing so; strengthens the flock to withstand the tricks of the devil in seeking out souls for Christ. Which is our basic purpose in the church. Lets Have Church People.

I can go all month on teaching GAY in CHURCH situations but point blank. If you can live like a drunk, live like a idiot, live foolishly, and/or live enviously; then a person can live Homosexually. People can choose to think Christ is for Homosexuality even; BUT if you want to step up your level of HOLINESS and get closer to Christ; DO ALL THINGS FOR AND BECAUSE OF CHRIST. My wife actually speak and talk to Christ during our intimate moments LOL Seriously, would you feel comfortable having sex in-front of Christ hmmm. He sees all anyway.

TURN THE OTHER CHEEK OR PUNKOUT????

I have been battling this for years on end. Should A Christian turn the cheek and be a pushover or is it right to stand up for yourself and draw the line?

There have been several instances over the years of Turning the other Cheek. Some in heroic ways some in less appealing situation. Non the less; a show of giving up ones rights for the wrong of others. As this applies to the Bible can we really be direct when it comes to allowing things to slap us in the face, so to speak? Or is there a such case that we can stand up like Christ did in John 2:13-25  when people were selling in the church? More commonly people deal with less physical ways of turning the other cheek.

The Example of NonViolence

I preached a sermon at a church. Upon showing up; I asked a couple of musicians to come play for me. After the service; I recieve a call from the hosting Pastor that "my musicians took two musical instrument pieces". I then tried to call the musicians to ask if they had mistakenly grabbed the equipment but I didn't get a response. The hosting Pastor said that he had 4 days to come up with a resolution to the problem. I told him that I would meet with him the next day and pay whatever needs to be paid to rectify the problem. In hopes; that this would bring a resolution to the problem.

Biblical Art of a Slapped Women

Now ofcourse; I wasn't pleased with coming to this conclusion, but I felt obligated to pay money to fix a situation that I had totally nothing to do with.Even not knowing whether or not it was true. The facts show that my musicians were the last to have physical contact with the equipment but who knows? I clearly gave up my rights for the wrong of someone else. In fact; TURNING THE OTHER CHEEK. Is this the right thing to do ALL THE TIME! What if a person chooses not to go this route ARE THEY WRONG? Matthew 5:39 tells about turning the other cheek but the Bible also teaches to be bold in the word; STEALING IS WRONG but.......

 What do you think?....

Will Smith Will Not Turn the Other Cheek

IS IT RIGHT FOR A CHURCH TO MAKE NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS??

OK, Saints we're in the New Year. For some of you; the drama continues, but for others you've made a personal goal for the compromising to stop. We've all made resolutions year after year. Some have succeeded and some have not. I was in church last week and I heard a pastor make a statement that "This year the church will witness to more people". Well, on top of the fact that the church has been around for years on years and should already have effective plans set to witness; is it biblical for a church to set New Years Resolutions???
Now I've been taught that the Pastor is sent by God to lead the church. Now, the pastor gets his direction from the most high. So, I'm thinking it should not be anything that a Pastor do that is not ordered by Christ. Yeah, I know technical LOL, but really. If it was stated that GOD SAID the resolution for this year was A, B, C; OK thats coming from God. But; it wasn't said God said hmmmm. Which leads me to come up with a thought or more so, a QUESTION. Is the Pastor leading the church on his own or is he getting this from Christ?
It's a matter of trust also with me. If you trust your Pastor in his or her efforts to lead you then this wouldn't be a issue or will it. LOL I posed this same question to someone and they said that I'm inflicting confusion. I believe that despite trusting someone; there should still be a STANDARD set. The Bible even speak of building up a standard. For example; I have a friend who just so happens to be a Pastor. Nice guy but anointed to preach the Gospel. Only because I built a standard of what I expect from MY PASTOR; my friend can NOT pastor me. WHY in Detail?, Although, my friend, the Pastor, can preach to bring down angels; my friend is an adulteress. Don't get me wrong; I am blessed by the preaching and have no doubt that it is ordained by Christ but to put my life in his hands for life long leadership, I think not. If I didn't know that would be one thing but I know and not just me say NO but my soul says HELL NO LOL. In other words; I would be the one that would let him have it on Sunday morning. In front of the congregation because I wouldn't be able to sit and allow the people to be misguided.
These Churches have become so concerned with HAVING CHURCH, they are forgetting on how to APPLY THE CHURCH within lost souls. Just like the (pic above); a huge area of vegetation. Any and everything is underneath. Although, in a way beautiful; but also deadly. But if organized; we can build, we can plant, we can be fruitful. So what do you think leave a comment?? I'm only hard on Leaders of the Church because I'm fed up just like many of you. Church that's dead no more, Church that has no power no more, Church that has more mess and drama to follow than the word no more, Church that promote sin no more, Church MESS PERIOD NO MORE. WHAT cHA THANK!!??

WHATS UP WITH ALL THE CHURCHES?

I was in a daze on last night looking out the window of my car. After arriving home; I sit and thought about, wow I just passed 15 churches in 2miles of arriving home. I mean seriously; the amount of christian based buildings are at a all time high. The baffling part is, so is crime, sexual impurity, ignorance and hatred. It's like having a house full of Janitors living in a hoarded(dirty) house. I know I'm not the only one that has these thoughts LOL. It's a confusing matter to see 15 churches in one place but a over incapacitated food bank or homeless shelter, drug infested and prostitute overrun place. Frankly; It pisses me off to know that all these ministries don't see a need to help the community but rather sit and criticize the few that do. Yelling to all that would listen how much power you have in God. Eddie Long, LOL yeah the accusation but that I'm unsure of. What I am sure about; is that man helps the community! Some churches don't criticize they just do nothing for no one but there members. Understandable; but is that what God wanted from the church?hmmm
D. Haddon stated on his Twitter page; "Love is a powerful key" and the enemy is trying to take it from this generation. As a child, mom and dad gave us all that key. To Love everyone despite. My parents even taught us how to utilize the power of love to force a change in an other wise negative element. Two friends began to fight and we were taught to step in and sing, or cry. When we asked; what if we cant do those thing, they would say; listen to your heart. My parents would paint this picture that; what if they killed one another and knowing you could have done something. How would that make you feel mom said. I would state; sad. Then she would conclude; because you love them both huh? I'd say, yes ma'am.
Love is not being used to the best of its ability by the church. Either the church is making a killing in finances and don't see where the process is defective or there's a strict routine that the church has been doing for years and not trying to go in the valley. Needless to say; Many people are falling short because the tool that God had ordained for them to hear God with is DEFECTED! Someone asked; "how can you blame the church for not bringing people to Christ isn't they part the blame?". Well, I don't blame the church for bringing people to Christ. I blame the church for "NOT DOING WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS THEM TO DO". When that action is in motion; The church becomes like a paper weight. It actually gets in the way of those that are trying to honor God's command.
Church A calls Bill. Bill goes to church A because church A has the money to afford transportation to pick up people. When Bill join church A; Church A then finds out about Bill's drinking problem. Instead of reaching out with Love to Bill; Church A drops interest in helping Bill grow in Christ. Bill had actually slowed down on drinking out of respect for the Love(Christ) that was shown but after the motive became clear to Bill; that Church A doesn't help the broken only the blessed. Bill falls once again. Now Church B comes alone and has the motives of Christ to show Love and Kindness to all; weather broken or blessed but Bill isn't falling for it. Bill looks at all churches now like Church A. Now the question is; How long and what would it take for Church B to reach Bill if Bill hadn't come in contact with Church A?
It amazes me to see how so many have gotten it wrong. Maybe its me. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong. You tell me. Thinking of Matthew 13: 24 thru 30, Christ spoke a parable saying to let the wheat and the tares grow together and he'll do the separating during harvest time. Now seem like to me that's saying you treat everyone the same. The churches should have the same agenda of reaching the lost souls.Tackling the sin with the Love of God. Remember, with Love and Kindness will I draw thee. Okay, I know what you're saying what does that have to do with ALL THE CHURCHES? Well, if we were on the same page; We wouldn't need All THE CHURCHES LOL. One asked; well what about the devil? What about the devil? The Bible teaches us to shun the appearance of evil. Checkout Titus 1:13, 3: 10 and 1Timothy 1:19,20, 6 thru 18.
People I really don't see a need for all the churches or denominations. At least, have all the churches and denominations come together once a year for a fellowship. In hopes that more joint works can be manifested in the future. In heaven I don't think it will be a baptist, COGIC, Catholic etc. So if we live like this down here; what makes you think we can get to heaven and be in place??

Think about it hmmmm Who will be the pastor of this one International church, Bishop Jakes, Bishop Pearson, Bishop Long LOL Well peeps until next time bring some truth to someone's life.

IS THIS A SHOW?

In my 30 plus years of going to church; I've heard on numerous occasions that "CHURCH IS NOT A SHOW" but every time its said It brings a feeling of "there's got to be more to this story". LOL I've never been one to seek out attention but to except that humbleness for the church go hand in hand with passiveness, I find it hard to except. Maybe the statement was speaking of; when singers do more performing than ministering. Better yet, the preachers that speak after the word has taken place and have no other reason for doing so except to make there presence known. Okay I got it; the secretary who announce the announcements in his or her own swag, taking up precious time in the service. There's so many areas that fall under and out of the statement "THIS ISN'T A SHOW".
At first glance; one would assume that someone sung a song and tried to show out but can we define that as being wrong? Most gifts that I've seen given by God was for someone to see or hear. Who am I to judge weather or not they are showing out for Christ or themselves. I've seen one person get saved after the worst solo sung ever and I had over half the church in agreement with me. So, we really don't know. 1 Cor 1:27 God chose the FOOLISH things to confound the WISE. Despite how we were taught to do, God often come out the box on us. Now this wouldn't be confusing IF WE FOLLOW God's LEAD hmmm LOL.Thankful to God; he has ordained order in the churches. In other words, there's a leader. I can't imagine having numerous leaders with there on direction. WOW, that's a lot of foolishness going on in the churches LOL
This statement is one of great importance. If you enforce the statement; you promote a certain type of dull characteristic. Brought on by passive nature, Low self-esteem, and low moral within the body of Christ. We as humans pride on competition. That's one of the concepts of being saved, TO MAKE IT TO HEAVEN and the other is loving CHRIST. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so; means you act out. Study to show yourself......., A action!! Seek and you shall find......, A action. Enforcing this would sit COGIC down from praise dance, Baptist deacons from praying and Catholic from confession.

Click to here the Word

Now the flip side to letting the statement ride; is you have any and everything coming across your church audience. Preachers that take the members in a direction other than the direction the Pastor want to be taken. Choirs singing songs that don't promote Christ. People in general that act out of self rather than God's truth. To allow this statement to stand alone is to allow freedom to act holy or unholy. Mathew 7:15 warns of false prophets. This scripture alone brings truth in a portion of this statement. Most false doctrine are meant to persuade(SHOW) just as much as the word of God.
To bring clarity to the statement "THIS ISN'T A SHOW"; It must be added to. This would not only bring understanding to certain matters but promote order and harmony. Thinking of a better statement is a bit much but I'll take a chance on it. How about THIS ISN'T A SHOW THAT DON'T PROMOTE CHRIST, MAKE SURE ITS IN LINE WITH WHAT GOD WANTS AND IF YOU CANT BE SURE DON'T SHOW!!
I believe that we do Christ a great injustice when we don't give him our best or the best that he's put in us. A greater injustice even more; when we allow ourselves to block the flow of God with our selfish, showboat ways. Giving our best through God is one thing. Giving our best through ourselves is another.
